The San Diego Asian Film Foundation’s “Reel Voices”, a summer filmmaking program for high school youth, is now calling for applications.  Please apply today and/or send this information to anyone who may be interested.This free program will start on June 20th and end Aug 13th. About 8 to 10 students will be chosen, and each student’s goal will be to make their own short documentary film. Additionally, they will be granted $500 scholarship upon completion of their film, receive mentorship from working professionals in the film industry, premiere their work at the SD Asian Film Festival this fall, and possibly screen their film at other festivals around the world.It is a very rewarding program and I hope the word gets across to many students out there who carry a passion for storytelling. 샌디에고 아시안 영화제에서 진행하는 Reel Voices 프로그램이 학생모집을 하고 있습니다.

2005년부터 샌디에고의 고등학생들에게 여름방학동안 다큐멘터리 영화 만들기를 가르치는 프로그램 입니다.

8주동안 영화 만드는 과정을 배우며, 영화산업에서 일하고있는 영화인들에게 멘토링을 받을 수 있는 기회, 단편영화를 완성하면 장학금 $500 을 받는 혜택이 주어지고, 완성된 단편영화가 11월에 하는 영화제에서 상영이 되겠습니다. 뿐만아니라 레드카펫 행사에서부터 다른 영화제에 출품이 되기까지 여러 다양한 경험이 이어지는 뜻깊은 프로그램이 될것입니다.

2012년도 Reel Voices 학생을 모집하고 있습니다.

샌디에고에서 9-12학년 학생 누구나 모집 가능. (graduating senior 들도 ok)

첨부파일에 있는 지원서를 작성하시고 제 이메일로 보내주시면 됩니다. 지원서 마감일은 4월 30일 월요일 오후 5시.

Program Dates: 6월 20일 수요일 – 8월 13일 월요일 (8주)  그리고 남은 8월동안 각 학생에따라 영상 편집에 의한 시간이 소요된다는 점 고려하시기 바랍니다.

Class Times: 월, 수 10am-1pm
