Today marks second anniversary of Japan tsunami

Though we in Southern California experienced several moderate earthquakes today, it pales in comparison to the massive devastation experienced in Japan exactly two years ago today – 3/11.

Even worse, many victims are enduring temporary housing that is more like camping out than home, and have the growing fear that they may never be able to return to their communities. Most have lived there for many generations and it is the only place they they know.

Emperor Akihito at a memorial service in Tokyo said “I pray that the peaceful lives of those affected can be resume as soon as possible”.

The government has promised to make “visible” progress soon.

In our common humanity lets remember those who died in that terrible event and hope that the survivors get the help and support they deserve.
