1. Korean traditional percussion band School’s Winter Camp

According to the Korea Times, the San Diego Korean Pungmul School, which is a Korean traditional percussion band, will have a winter camp from the 17th to the 23rd of December. At this camp, Su-whan Choi, the bearer of Korea’s intangible cultural heritage, is going to be the instructor for the camp. 

2. Han-woo club’s end of the year ceremony.

According to the Korea Times, the Han-woo club, which consists of the previous and current San Diego Korean American association’s presidents, held their end of the year event on December 14th at San-tong Palace restaurant.

3. The LA consul general’s meeting

According to the Korea Times, Ki-chul Lee, who is the LA consul general, visited San Diego to have a meeting with the heads of Korean local groups on December 16th at San-tong Palace. 

4. Korean American Senior Association – current president hands fund to build a new recreation center over to the next president 

At the recent Korean American Senior Association’s monthly meeting, it was decided to turn over the issue, which is building a new recreation center or using the North Clairemont recreation center, to the next president. It depends on decision of San Diego city. If the city was going to authorizes to utilize the North Clairemont recreation center after 20 years and to extend more 20 years around next March or April, the Korean senior residents association would give fund to benefactor not to spend fund on operational fund.
