Hi everyone- 안녕하세요-!
It is already mid-November! If you have not picked up a Korea Daily magazine, please get your free copy at Zion Market or Jaeil Market! Our section is marked by the black side-bars of the pages.
Here are some upcoming events in the Korean community of San Diego:

Thurs, Nov 15, 7pm: Korean American Coalition – SD chapter will be having its end of the year mixer at Khan’s Cave (9350 Clairemont Mesa Blvd). Everybody is welcomed! $5 entry fee. Click here for details
Sat, Nov 17: A new Korean market in town! H-Mart is opening in Mira Mesa, where Ralphs just off the 805 used to be.
Wed, Dec 5: Pacific Arts Movement (formerly SD Asian Film Foundation) will be having its last quarterly screening of 2012. Click here for details.
Sun, Dec 9, 5:30pm: San Diego Radio Seoul will be hosting their annual singing contest at Jasmine Chinese Restaurant. There will also be a dance competition of Psy’s Horse dance. It will be a night of fun and talent– for those wishing to participate as a contestant, please reply to this email with brief intro of yourself!
January 2013: SD Korea Daily will be holding weekly Korean language classes! If you are interested, please email me back and I will continue to update you with further information.
Fun Korean phrase of the day: 추워죽겠다! (choo-wuh-jook-get-dah) literally “it’s so cold I’d die!” Although San Diego is still in the 70s, I hear Korea is feelin’ its winter wind gusts!
As always, feel free to send inquiries, comments, or simple an-nyungs! We also always welcome contributing writers. Our next month’s topic is “Why I love Korean culture”
Gam-sah-hap-nee-dah! Thank you!
