K-Connect!

It is a non-profit organization on at Balboa Park in San Diego, USA, that represents Korea as a civil ambassador to spread the knowledge of Korean arts, culture, tradition, and history.

At Balboa Park, there is a non-profit consortium organization called House of Pacific Relations International Co ages (HPR), founded in 1935. The aim of this organization is to help its country members promote their culture and facilitate mutual understanding through its “house” located in Balboa Park.

On February 2, 2014, Korea became a member country of HPR. Although currently the “house” for Korea has not been established yet, we have been pursuing fundraising actively to initiate the construction. Our events are organized both independently through our members and collaboratively with HPR. We hope not only to present the beauty of Korean arts and culture, but also to facilitate the interaction with the Korean community and San Diego community to become a valuable educational organization for various generations especially the growing youth.

House of Korea (한국의 집)는 미 캘리포니아 샌디에고의 발보아 공원에 위치 한 한국의 문화, 전통과 역사를 전파하는 민간 외교 역활를 하고자 하는 비영리 단체입니다.

발보아 공원에는 1935년도에 설립된 태평양 국제 연맹 커티지 (HPR)라 불리는 비영리 협력단체가 있습니다. 이 단체의 목적은 발보아 공원에 위치 되 있는 “하우스”들을 통해 각 나라 멤버들의 문화를 홍보하고 상호간의 이해를 증진하고자 하는 목표를 가지고 있습니다.

2014년 2월 2일 한국의 집이 HPR의 32개 국가들과 나란히 33번째 회원이 되었습니다. 비록 현재 한국 “집”은 아직 설립하지 못 했으나, 이를 시작하기 위한 기금 모으기에 활발하게 나섰습니다.  한국의 집 행사들은 우리 회원들을 통해 독립적으로 또한 HPR과 협력적으로 기획됩니다.  바라컨대 우리가 한국 예술과 문화의 미를 소개 시키는것 뿐만 아니라 한인 커뮤니티와 샌디에고 주류 커뮤니티 사이의  상호영향을 용이하게 하므로 여러 새대 특히 차세대에게 값있는 교육단체가 되고자 합니다.
